May's Resident Artist: A Deep Dive
Every month, we love to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible resident artists. This May, we're thrilled to introduce you to Alexandra "Alex" Hartley. Alex is a local mixed media artist who's been creating some truly stunning pieces. We sat down with Alex to chat about their art, their inspiration, and their upcoming exhibit right here in Bunk D Miranda.
Meet Alexandra "Alex" Hartley
Alex Hartley has been creating art since they were old enough to hold a crayon. But it wasn't until they discovered mixed media that they truly found their voice. "I love the tactile nature of mixed media," Alex tells us. "It's like I'm creating a little world on the canvas, layer by layer."
Alex's work is a vibrant, colorful exploration of identity, nature, and the human experience. Their upcoming exhibit, "Layers of Us", will be a visual journey through these themes, inviting viewers to explore their own identities and connections to the world around them.
Mark Your Calendars: "Layers of Us" Opening Night
Join us on May 15th for the opening night of "Layers of Us". It's going to be a fantastic evening filled with art, music, and great company. Plus, you'll have the chance to chat with Alex and hear about their creative process firsthand. Don't miss out - RSVP now!
